Accidental Ingestion of People Medications...
Hi all
-- You probably don't know this, until last night I know I didn't -- but my
boxer got into my meds. She's never counter surfed before, but somehow she got
them from the back of the counter. Fortunately, I knew it had been 40 minutes
since she got them -- during the time I was out walking the other dog.
I called the emergency vet clinic, who suggested
I give her HYDROGEN PEROXIDE to induce vomiting and then call the ASPCA Animal
Control Hotline 1.888.426.4435. ($50.00 fee required.) The peroxide worked
almost immediately and I didn't have to call poison control.
Pass this information onto others and,
just so you know, the local emergency vet clinic couldn't answer any questions
about dogs ingesting 'people meds.'
