Our organization Through Their Eyes, The National Animal Abuse Registry has been working actively with the case worker from PETA on this case (See PETA Alert below) and I can attest that neither the Sheriff's office or The Pearl River Board of Supervisors has done anything except make us false promises.

By the way the offender was allegedly involved in an animal cruelty case in Louisiana in 2000 but no conviction because the animals were released to authorities in a bargain agreement.

Please write or call these people to help get these animals the help they desperately need.

Thanks

Urge Mississippi Officials to Save Dogs From Extreme Neglect

PETA was alerted in July about four German shepherd dogs apparently being horribly neglected at 57 Benjamin Ln. in the town of Poplarville. According to eyewitness accounts, the dogs are all very sickly and mange-stricken, http://www.peta.org/news/images/dog2.jpg and one dog is now nearly hairless http://www.peta.org/news/images/dog1.jpg  from this untreated and miserable disease.

Despite our extensive efforts to get the attention of Pearl River County authorities, we understand that absolutely nothing has been done to help these suffering animals.

Please contact county officials and ask them to take immediate action in this alleged case of hideous animal abuse. Please note that the district attorney has been referring callers to the county attorney, who has been referring people back to the district attorney. Don’t let them give you the run-around—somebody in this jurisdiction must take responsibility for securing help for these animals! Remind them that cruelty to animals must be taken seriously—for the safety of the community at large, as well as its animals.
