Can anyone rescue or adopt this poor soul whose time is running out. See the
below email I got a copy of. It provides the location and you can contact
kwgonda@powhatansheriff.net for further details. Please hurry as his time is
running out. Looks to be a border collie mix or possibly lab as I can't see any
corgi there.

Dear Walton
Thank you for your help. I did have a message from Mr. Jervy who called after I
had left yesterday. I will call him this morning. Since he is in SC it probably
won't work for Blackie. I can release him to a Rescue Group without him being
neutered but a private individual who doesn't live in Powhatan or surrounding
counties must make arrangements to have him neutered before he leaves our county
and today is his last day. I will try to get him one more "stay". He's been here
for quite some time. I have attempted to get pictures of him several times and
for some reason they never seem to turn out! Attached is what I have but it's
terribly overexposed. Our camera doesn't work well outside and Blackie is camera
shy inside. If I can possibly get him any more time I'll try again for a better
picture. A local rescue person came yesterday to see him but wasn't able to take
him since I may be wrong on his age. He does have tarter on his teeth so he
maybe as old as 5 or 6 OR he may have been fed canned food which would cause
that. I guess a Vet could tell his age more accurately.
Thanks so muc! I'll keep you posted!

I have a little dog here who's owners abandoned him here. I thought I had a
good place for him to go but found out that his space at the Facility I had
planned to release him to was filled by another dog and now they do not have
room for him. He is black with white on his chest. He has long ears and tail
like a Doxi but is stocky like a Corgi. His name is Blackie (former owner's name
for him) he was a house pet and is house trained though he may need a refresher
course now;-) He is an adult probably about 3 years old. He weighs about
20-25lbs or so.I must get him out of here in order to save him as quickly as
possible. If you know of anyone who could help him please let me know. If I have
written to you in error, I apologize. I have emailed and talked with so many
Rescue people this past year!
