Lucky
Dog
Beagle
Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Sex: Male
I.D: Lucky
Notes:
11/30/04 Lucky was found outside the shelter one cold morning.
He was very thin and had trouble
walking. He has since put on some weight now at 23 pounds. He has some
old injurys that are giving him problems. The vet says he has had a
broken pelvis that did not heal right and possible a spinal injury as
well. Lucky needs a quiet home with lots of love. He
is a very sweet boy and loves attention.
We could really use the help of local volunteers.
Can someone come down to the shelter one or two days a week to help
out? If so, please email us. Thanks!
We are in URGENT need of foster homes! Please email us if you can
short-term foster a dog while it awaits transport to a rescue.
We're rescue-friendly! We have to put many nice dogs down due to

Beagles in NJ need to
go somewhere
There are 50-60 beagles in NJ, that are in an abusive situation. These
pups are NOT even in a cozy shelter and DO have health
problems. This is not going to be a neat and easy situation where we are
asking people to take fully vetted dogs, with some idea of their
temperment. This is going to be down and dirty rescue.
And we will need your help, and need to know you will be on board to
help. Katie has already seen pictures of the living conditions of these
pups and given permission to use her site to post them.
www.weneedahome.net .
She suggested that you could do this, as you have been granted the status
to post for that site. We will probably have the information we need to
start publishing their picutres and some descriptions in 24-36
hours, at Katie and I will be doing all we can to get the word out.

I'm sure you've networked with the other Beagle rescue folks (Texas,
national, etc.)??????
I belong to rescue lists in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and some general
Texas lists. I can forward your note, if you want. I am no-mail on the
lists, but can still post to them.

Ok you guys, I need a miracle here.
About a month ago, we were contacted by a lady whose mother died leaving
(2) 7 year old and one 3 year old Beagles (Mom, Dad and baby). We asked
her to send us records and photos and didn't hear back,
I just got a call from her that she has to find a place for the dogs by
the 30th, gee thanks for giving us plenty of time!
We are full and even though we said no more dogs this month, are still
taking in dogs but cannot take these 3 a we still have 4 in shelters
needing out and a couple of owner surrenders.
According to the woman the dogs are current on vaccines, she is faxing me
the records but have had a lapse in hw prevention in the last 2 months.
Can anyone take them? I will be more than happy to send potential adopters
your way

Correspondents, Advocates and Liaisons Needed!
There are a myriad of positions available
for many different agencies throughout the U.S. There is a great need for
shelter workers and volunteers, liaisons, political activists,
campaigners, publicists and press people, photographers, correspondents
and, yes, transporters!
Most of these positions are not, in and of
themselves, demanding. Of course, if you care about animals they can
become very time consuming efforts, indeed, and we appreciate the vast and
varied talents of those who are doing this work -- many out of the
kindness of their hearts.
If you are interested in volunteering for
this effort or others, we invite you to write us and let us know what
you'd like to do, how often and how you like to work. We're sure to be
able to find a match for you!
We thank God for each and every one of you
who care enough to confront almost insurmountable odds to do everything
you can to change this travesty in our world, often facing your own
humanity to do so, and putting your own emotions on the line to care for
the voiceless among us: GODSPEED to each and every one...
