Transportation will be provided
for the lovely
lady at right, a female Beagle that's blind in one eye and has already
been through so much! Please let us know if you can assist in any way --
this rescue needs to occur. Judy and Missy are wonderful volunteers and do
a great deal on behalf of the animals at this pound in Pt. Pleasant, West
Virginia -- terrible territory for hounds and Labradors in particular!

MESSAGE:
There were 11 purebred beagle pups at Mnhattan
University that
students in Ve school used to practice on. They are> spayed/neutered, UTD
on shots.
Thry are going to euthanize them if they do not find
homes. They have never lived outside of a
kennel,,,,,this breaks my heart and I cant see there
life ended before they have even been given the
chance
to run and play in the grass and be loved and be a
part of a family.
Do you know of any rescues that might be able to
help
out.
Several rescuers - with waiting lists of homes
wanting
to adopt Beagles
-have been discouraged - K-State Vet Clinic refers
to adopt to
individual adopters/families.There are 8 Beagles
remaining -
Here is the contact information for Vicki Smith. I
called yesterday
(Thursday) and talked with the office and learned
her
phone number. She leaves work by 4:30 or 5:00 .m.
weekdays - so please make your call accordingly.

Correspondents and Liaisons Needed!
There are a myriad of positions available
for many different agencies throughout the U.S. There is a great need for
shelter workers and volunteers, liaisons, political activists,
campaigners, publicists and press people, photographers, correspondents
and, yes, transporters!
Most of these positions are not, in and of
themselves, demanding. Of course, if you care about animals they can
become very time consuming efforts, indeed, and we appreciate the vast and
varied talents of those who are doing this work -- many out of the
kindness of their hearts.
If you are interested in volunteering for
this effort or others, we invite you to write us and let us know what
you'd like to do, how often and how you like to work. We're sure to be
able to find a match for you!
We thank God for each and every one of you
who care enough to confront almost insurmountable odds to do everything
you can to change this travesty in our world, often facing your own
humanity to do so, and putting your own emotions on the line to care for
the voiceless among us: GODSPEED to each and every one...
