Subject: [MiamiDadeRescueRailroad] Everyone I would like for you to meet Belle!

This is Belle's story...

This poor little girl can not see much, she is blind in one eye and can barley see out of the other. She was wondering around in my neighborhood and a neighbor watched her walk off the sea wall into the canal. Of course they brought her to me after pulling her out by the neck with this rope and saving her life, (very hard to believe it was an animal HATER that saved her). She is very weak and covered in fleas. I gave her a flea bath and some dinner. She loves Chicken & Dumplins. I took her to the vet's today to have the one eye checked out and checked for worms and heartworms. She was infested with hooks and tapes. Vet didn't want to get shots yet because she was very anemic. She has glaucoma in her left eye and a cataract in her right one. I will get results of the HW test in the next couple of days. Vet seems to think she is a very old girl. He also wanted to know where she slept last night, I told him in my house, and he said "It was probably the first time she has ever been inside" that is soooo sad. Please if you know of anyone that is looking for an older mellow dog to adopt or even foster for the rest of her life. She may not have  but a couple years left. This little girl is very sweet, she needs to be pampered for the rest of her life. She has only wagged her tail 3 times, the first time was after she was clean and fed, the 2nd was this morning when I woke her up and the 3rd time was after the vet checked her out and I put her back on the floor. She is small, only weighs 33 lbs, seems bigger because of the hair, I think she looks like a border mix, any suggestions?

Please cross post this little girls picture and lets see if we can get her a forever loving home.
Feel free to contact Toni Lynn at tonilynn@rescuerailroad.com for a bigger pic or more information or interest to adopt. Thank you for all your help in advance.
