Ann Marie, Coonhound
Size: Large, Age: Adult, Sex: Female
Notes: Ann Marie is a cute and speckley coonhound that
absolutely loves everyone and everything. She loves
people, children, other dogs, but I am not sure of
cats. She is a youngin about 12-18 months and weighs
about 50-55 lbs. She is an unspayed female but will be
completely vetted before she leaves to live in the lap
of luxury. Her vetting will include her spay, HWT, and
Rabies vaccination. She is UTD on her DHLPP,
Bordatello, and worming. If you are interested in

Hello All,
I am writing to tell everyone that Brooke County Shelter is WORSE than Barb
describes, I have been there and I saw the conditions that these poor
animals are living in. I commend all the shelter workers for what they
have to do on a daily basis just to take care of the animals.
I want to thank the rescues who continually pull from Brooke County, and I want to thank the rescues who are going to pull from Brooke County to help them out in this crisis situation. They need the help.
Oh, and one other thing, These animals have been vetted, have been given their shots, have been heartworm tested, and most are altered, If you are interested in one that just came in, they will get the animal vetted for you. I don't know about your vet, but to get all this done at mine would cost me twice as much.
Thanks for listening, and thanks for helping. We all need to work together so we can save these animals. WE CAN DO IT!
PLEASE HELP! LIST OF ANIMALS AVAILABLE FOLLOWS THIS POST:
Brooke County Shelter has been making it known for months now that their
shelter is falling down around their ears and that they desperately need help
from
rescues placing the large number of dogs and cats currently housed there.
They have pleaded with the County Commissioners, and in this case, the
Commissioners are trying their hardest to help! But, the current shelter has
to be
torn down in order for the new one to be built. Either all the dogs and cats
are euthanized or if enough Rescues offer help, the remaining few animals may
be able to be housed at private homes in the area as a temporary measure.
Please! There were so many Rescues that helped when the Mason County plea
was issued, now Brooke County is in desperate need to completely empty out.
To add salt to an already existing wound, there is a private group that has
called the media in and is claiming neglect and abuse on the part of the
County
due to the condition of the building and not only could all the animals loose
their lives, but the shelter workers could loose their jobs. The shelter
staff have already worked miracles with the care of these animals considering
what they are up against. Let's not let them down now!
The animals at Brooke County are extremely well cared for and loved by the
shelter workers and the staff is very devoted and hard working and trying to
do
their best with what they have to work with.
Alot of you know Barb personally from the large number of transports she has
coordinated over the years for everyone. Now she needs our help! The stress
this is putting on all of the shelter workers is just overwhelming as they
have to standby helplessly wondering what the fate of the animals will be!
I know that alot of you pulled large numbers of dogs within the last week to
help Mason County, but if you have room for just a few more, PLEASE consider
pulling from Brooke County and help them.
Both dog and cat Rescues are needed!

Hi everyone, this is Barb from the BROOKE CO. SHELTER IN FOLLANSBEE,WV. I know i am suppose to be taking a break, but i was asked to post a plea of help. Rochelle isn't having much luck getting rescue's to pull from our shelter despite her hard efforts and due to this factor our shelter has gotten extremely over crowded.. We have 4 to 5 dogs in every indoor kennel and around 15 dogs living outside in this heat. The flies are having a feast on their ears despite our efforts to keep them off the dogs. We also have 4 litters of pups.
Due to all this, the shelter has been forced to euthinize and will continue till the number comes down. All these dogs have great personalities and are very friendly. I have up-dated the site but I still need to get more photo's of the new ones that just came in.
Please Our Shelter Is Begging For Help. If any rescue has room for even just one it will help. Please e-mail Rochelle for more details on the dog or dogs you may be interested. Her e-mail is on the web page.
