I am pleased to report that we have found a permanent home for this dog. A very nice family (local Baptist pastor, wife and two kids in grade school) have been looking for a dog. They saw my flyer at the library and called me about it. They came to see him and fell in love immediately (who wouldn’t?). It was a great match – they have a large yard, the kids will play with him, they have no other pets to compete for attention. Our cats are rather relieved that he is gone but I must say that I shed a few tears – he was one sweet boy. I took him to the vet Monday and he got a clean bill of health. The vet thought he could be as young at 9 months old. She definitely didn’t think he had any Pit Bill in his mix. We got his vaccinations up to date. His new family will have him neutered and then I am going to visit him just to say hi. Thank you so very much for your time and efforts in helping me try to find him a home. I can’t tell you how relieved I felt knowing that someone else out there cares for animals so much that they would take time out to offer assistance to me. I’ll not forget your kindness.
