Cassidy HELP!! Akita
Notes: This beautiful girl is so lucky to be alive. She was shot in the neck and leg and was left wandering for 3-4 days before the dog warden was able to locate her and bring her to the dog pound. She has been hospitalized for several days and with time and treatment she will be ok. The person must have been standing over her and shot her grazing her neck quite deeply and then penetrating her leg, leaving a very large hole. In spite of it all, she is happy and doing very well. She is so sweet and loving, everyone that meets her thinks she is a great dog! Now this girl needs to be rescued or adopted into a loving home. We have found a wonderful temporary foster home for her, but she needs help. She will need weeks of care and she has vet bills that we need help with. Shot Akita needs rescued!! HELP!!!
This is Cassidy.
This beautiful female akita was shot and left to wander for
several days before she was caught by the dog warden and taken to
the vet. She suffered a long wound grazing her neck then the bullet went
though her front leg.
She recieved vet care and I thought that she had a foster
home where she would receive long term after care. She did ok until
she went after the families kitten. Now she has been returned to the vet.
She is a WONDERFUL loving dog, super personality, very very
affectionate. Just not good with cats!
Please!!!! I do not want to have to euthanize her after all
she has gone though -- but she can't stay at the vets because we
don't have the money to continue to board her...,
If you can help with her temporary boarding at the vet that
would be great. She can't go to regular boarding as she needs her
bandage on her leg changed daily and there is quite a bit of work in that,
plus it isn't for the weak of heart. I need to find a foster or
rescue that will be willing to take her and realize she has several weeks of
healing to do.
