The poor Chow/Corgi soul in kennel 051 ID A358270 is not at all aggressive, is young and absolutely beautiful.

There is a broken piece of rope around his neck, so obviously the poor baby had been tied up. No wonder he is scared at the shelter.

One of my friends who went to shelter just spent some time with him and brought him a treat.

Poor, Abused Chow Mix is STILL HOPING for somsone to love him.

He does not try to bite at all.

Please lets let this fella know that not all humans treat animals so poorly!

Please, Please crosspost and contact the Camarillo shelter
immediately Phone: (805) 388-4341 Option 0 if you can actually help.       These dogs need out NOW!!!

My name is on him, so don't think that they he has already beenrescued. HE HAS NOT!

This dog is in kennel 051 ID A358270. GORGEOUS and small This unaltered male, black Chow Chow mix may be available for adoption on Jan 05,
2005.

Ask that a note be put in the "VISUAL" of the
animals record so all at the shelter know that there is interest in him/her.

Don't waste precious time by responding to me!

The Shelter can no longer hold animals as they used
to, so PLEASE call them and then go out to bail.

Subject: [charlierescue] How can I help?

Hi, my name is Christy Pryor and right now I am an independent Chow rescuer, getting ready to affiliate myself with Cape Fear Rescue  Rangers. I also will be starting volunteer work with A NEW LEASH ON  LIFE in Wake Forest, NC. What do we need to do -- I can help rescue  down there, I can foster for those people who have to leave their  homes for shelter, I can transport. I used to live on the NC coast  in Surf City and the shelters for people do not allow pets. I can be  reached anytime at (919)556-1809. DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL ME AND  PLEASE CROSS POST

I think Charley is going to be very unforgiving to NC as well as
many other places, unfortunately.

NE Chow rescues?

Permission to cross post!

To any Chow rescues in the Northeast,

We have a lovely male Chow mix at our local Humane Society in upstate VT. He looks like a high mix and is reddish in color. They put his age at 7- 8 and sadly he was kept in a cage the last 2 years because his owners who surrendered him did have or want to spend the time with him.

His BIO is:
Chow mix, red, neutered male, 7- 8 years. I came from a home where my owner was incapable of taking care of me. I have spent the last 2 years in a crate which I was rarely allowed out of. I am a bit hesitant in new situations but very focused on people. I will often just stand next to my person and await instructions. I would be a great companion for homes with cats, dogs or children over 8 years of age. I am housetrained and will follow my person around and stick like glue.

He has the most darling face and you just want to hug him. He is not in any danger as our shelter is pretty much no kill unless of course there is an aggression issue or the dog is simply to sick to heal. Our record is 3 dogs in the last 9 years and I would say that's pretty dam good. Although he is safe I am afraid he will not get the attention here he may in other areas and may be a long time resident. If there are any chow rescues out there in the New England area and you think you might have a home for this beautiful boy, please, email me and I can send a picture and the contact information.

Thank you in advance,

LIONHEART

We need liaisons, photographers  writers, correspondents!

Most of these positions are not, in and of themselves, demanding. Of course, if you care about animals they can become very time consuming efforts, indeed, and we appreciate the vast and varied talents of those who are doing this work -- many out of the kindness of their hearts.

If you are interested in volunteering for this effort or others, we invite you to write us and let us know what you'd like to do, how often and how you like to work. We're sure to be able to find a match for you!

We thank God for each and every one of you who care enough to confront almost insurmountable odds to do everything you can to change this travesty in our world, often facing your own  humanity to do so, and putting your own emotions on the line to care for the voiceless among us: GODSPEED to each and every one...
