Please help: These dogs were being
offered for 'Free to good home'...I contacted the woman to explain
why that is dangerous...she is desperate, since most of our
facilities are kill shelters and the two that we know of that are
not, are so backed up, they won't call back. She is very
desperate. She said both dogs are in great health and that this is
going to be specially hard on the lab since she has had here
since she was a puppy. (I will never understand, how anyone can move
and leave a 10 yr. member of the family behind...that is longer than
most people keep spouse in this age) but apparently she has no
option and knows the likelihood of these dogs getting into a
home through a kill shelter are next to nil. I am full and can't
take them in, but would definately help transport I have no Lab
connections... please contact all that you know. Gloria

Moving to apartment in San Francisco. Need good home for 10 year old
female black lab and 5 year old shepherd mix. Good pups who love
each other and anyone else in the vicinity. Very
enthusiastic dogs. Great hiking partners.
Thanks,
Barbara

I am still begging for placement for these girls. We are
unable to continue to foster for personal reasons, at this time. They have
until the 30th of this month. That is only 13 days. Two of the girls were
adopted, but there are still 4 left. These have all been inside and
socialized with kids and dogs. All can be viewed at:

Chow Mix around 30lbs. 6months to one year old. Up to date on vacs, house
broken, good with dogs and kids. Not good around cats. She has been with
us since she was about 3 months old. Was found on the side of the road
with her sister. Sister was adopted.
Shepherd mix around 35lbs. Black and tan. Around a year old. Spayed and up
to date on vacs, working on house braking, good with dogs and kids, very
lovable, not good with small critters (cats, rabbits, etc.) She was
picked up at our local park
Miniature Mountain Cur about 20lbs. Brown, female, spayed, vacs, around
four years old. Lots of energy. Loves to run and tree squirrels. Great
with kids, dogs, and most cats. Will tree cats outside but does not bother
cats inside. Very affectionate. Owner turnover
Siberian Husky, female, spayed, vacs up to date, HW++ (blood test shows no
damage so far) needs treatment ASAP, good with most dogs, great with kids,
around 6-8 years old. Believed to have been a breeder dog, found in
terrible shape (lactating, ear infection,HW++). She is doing a whole lot
better but still needs treatment. Found on the side of the road.
Please if anyone can help with these before the 30th. They are scheduled
to be humanely killed on Friday the 30th.

Correspondents, writers,
photographers,
liaisons, advocates and MORE Needed!
There are a myriad of positions available
for many different agencies throughout the U.S. There is a great need for
shelter workers and volunteers, liaisons, political activists,
campaigners, publicists and press people, photographers, correspondents
and, yes, transporters!
Most of these positions are not, in and of
themselves, demanding. Of course, if you care about animals they can
become very time consuming efforts, indeed, and we appreciate the vast and
varied talents of those who are doing this work -- many out of the
kindness of their hearts.
If you are interested in volunteering for
this effort or others, we invite you to write us and let us know what
you'd like to do, how often and how you like to work. We're sure to be
able to find a match for you!
We thank God for each and every one of you
who care enough to confront almost insurmountable odds to do everything
you can to change this travesty in our world, often facing your own
humanity to do so, and putting your own emotions on the line to care for
the voiceless among us: GODSPEED to each and every one... |
