Cosmo is a big unruly dog with a basically gentle disposition. At 98
lbs., we can barely contain him in our home style animal shelter.
He is bull mastiff and cattle dog. Our experience with dogs that
large has been to train them while they were still small enough to
control. Stephanie has raised mastiffs for years, and none of them
act like this dog.
Although he has a nice temperament, it's completely obvious that no
one has ever trained him at all. His owner's surrendered him because
they hadn't a clue how to train him. Ideally, he needs to be placed
with an experienced dog trainer--- more experienced than any of us
and with less than 50 other animals to care for. if anyone can help
us please contact me right away, it because without an additional
assistance, our board has voted to euthanize him.
I like this dog, and don't want to see him put down. But I know I
can't help him either. Anyone?
