Hello. We are the Rescue Group Coordinators for the Columbus-Lowndes Humane
Society in Columbus, Mississippi. I know that we are a good distance from you
(maybe around 3 hours), but one of the pets of the shelter has touched my heart
and I am trying to find him a place to go. The shelter is a high kill shelter. I
see many animals come and go through the doors. This boy is so sweet. Animal
control brought him in. He had a collar on. It was a wide leather collar. Under
the collar I could tell that something was wrong with his neck. So I looked
under the leather collar. Some idiot had tied a rope around his neck to tight
and too small. He had an ingrown rope around his neck. The shelter does not have
a vet, but we do have one that comes and spays and neuters for us. Luckily, he
was there. We removed the collars and cleaned him up really good. He was such a
good boy during it all. I am sure that we can arrange transport to get him
somewhere. He is young. Under a year. I am sure you know how it is when one of
them just jumps out at you. I just fell for this one. I have tried other
rescue, but sadly I have been unsuccessful.
