Age: Young

Notes:
Huck has been at the
pound for too long, he is in danger and needs out now! He is about sixty
pounds of young Yellow Lab, he has a lot of energy and would make a
great running partner. He is very nice, he is a little wild at the

he is getting here, but he will settle down once he is in a permanent
home. HURRY to see him and make his Christmas wish come true! $54 for

Sandusky ounty Dog Pound Fremont, OH 419-334-2372 Peanut
#666 Chihuahua,Terrier Mix Size: Small Age: Senior Sex: Female Notes:
This is a special needs adoption. Peanut is an owner turn in, her owner
is expecting a baby and said that this girl is too possessive of her.
Poor Peanut is miserable in her cage at the pound and is very
frightened. This is causing her to growl at everybody until she gets to
know them well, and this isn't helping her to get adopted. Her days
might be short here if the pound fills up again as it has been doing.
Peanut is about twelve to fifteen pounds and looks well cared for, she
is a little bit older but in good condition and probably has many good
years ahead of her. Are you the loving person who can calm her fears and
give her the home she deserves? $54 for license, spay, first vaccine and
microchip.

Samantha & Baby SA
Beagle,Labrador Retriever Mix
Size: Medium
Age: Senior
Sex: Female
Notes: This is a very sad case. These two dogs (I am guessing at their
breed mix, I really don't know for sure) are both medium sized dogs at
about forty and forty five pounds. Samantha is the thinner one, she is
seven years old. Sweet little Baby is heavier at forty five to fifty
pounds (she could use a weight loss program) and she is ten years old.
Their owner brought them in. They seem like such nice girls, it just
breaks your heart to see them end up here at their age. They will not
have long, the pound has been filling up and owner surrenders are the
first to be euthanised. Can you help them? $54 for license, spay,
microchip, and vaccination. Hurry to see them!

Buddy-Very Sad!
Sheep Dog,Terrier Mix
Size: Medium
Age: Senior
Sex: MaleNotes: Buddy ended up here in the dog pound because his owner
passed away. As if that isn't hard enough for a ten year old dog to
handle, he is now in dire need of a new home or he won't have long to
live either. He is about forty pounds and he does not like children, he
will need an adult only home. Please come visit him and save his life!
$54 buys license, neuter if not done, vaccine and microchip.

MEET Claudia!
Labrador Retriever Mix
Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Sex: Female
I.D: 195
Notes: Hiya! I'm Claudia, what's your name? I'm
a sweet 3 year-old Black Lab mix looking for a loving home to call my
own. I've had a very terrifying past; I was living in a sump! Now I am
very shy with strangers and am wary of being handled. However, I warm up
quite nicely when you give me love and attention! I'm a mellow gal who
loves to give kisses and run and play. I have so much fun hiding my
treats in the ground. I like to bury them with my nose, it's oh so cute!
I passed my behavioral screening with flying
colors. I'm an obedient little girl who know my commands very well and
am so eager to please. I'm very dominant with other dogs so if you have
a pooch you would have to bring him/her down to meet me first. At the
end of the day I enjoy curling up into a ball on my blankie. I'm in
desperate need of a quiet home and a family who can reassure me with a
lot of love and devotion. You could be that special family for me.
Please come down and see what a gentle and
playful girl I really am! I've been caged for so long, I just want to be
free. Just look into my chocolaty soulful eyes and your heart will melt.

There are four Lab puppies at the Holmes County, Ohio, pound who are in
immediate danger of being gassed. The pound is full, and they could be
gassed as soon as Wednesday of this week. All are very sweet pups - two
female Yellow Labs, and two Labs possibly mixed with Border Collie.
Their write-ups are as follows:
"Lavern is a great little lab
mix that was found as a stray along with her sister Shirley. They both
have good dispositions and seem to like human attention. They are about
4 months old and are in Cage # 7 at the Holmes County Dog Pound. Please
give these gals a new loving home! Living at the pound is not a place
for such sweet girls. Time is of the essence, so please contact the
shelter today!"

"Prudence and Stacy are very sweet yellow lab mixes that are most likely
sisters. They are about 4 months old and were found as strays. They are
a little shy and scared to be in the pound but are still very good gals.
Both would make excellent pets as they are very calm and quiet. Please
contact the Holmes County Dog Pound immediately to adopt one or both of
these gals. Their time is limited due to space! Hurry, they are waiting
for you in Cage # 4!"

RESCUE NOTES: I live near Tulsa,OK.
We have rescued 2 yellow lab/mix pups (now approx. 6 months old) and 1
black lab/mix pup (now about 11 months old).
They were full of mange, worms and
extremely emaciated when we found them at our pond. They are
beautiful now. All their hair has grown back and the yellow female
has been spayed. They have all their shots and are on heartworm
preventative. They are crate trained and well-behaved, but because
of their boundless energy love being outside. The black lab can
scale a 4 and 5 foot fence easily, but he just runs to the house
because he wants to be around people. It was not my intention to
keep these sweeties because I already have 3 other dogs and people
have literally dumped 6 stray cats on us (3 of which were too far
pregnant to have spayed) so now there are also 19 kittens I need
to find good homes for...
I have been fortunate enough to find
an organization that will help me care for these cats... spaying,
shots, etc. but I cannot find anyone to help me find these sweet
dogs a home. If anyone is interested, please contact me at
noahsrv@yahoo.com. I have before
and after pics of them as well as their veterinarian records.

We are requesting help getting puppy mill
goldens to the safety of rescue.
The dogs have been released by the mill and are at a half way house
until
transport. We need to try to move them as soon as possible as there are
about 12 goldens in need all together. The half way house can only pull
so
many at a time due to space limitations. I do not have the ages or
sexes of
these dogs yet but will call the lady and try to find out which ones she
has
to get out first. Since these were breeding stock most of them are
females
but there are a couple of males. The ages for the entire group range
from
about 2 to 7 years of age.
I am on digest on most of the lists so please send me a note to
wlragan@iland.net if
you can help. As always we are flexible so please let us know even if
you
can only drive part of a leg. Please crosspost and forward to anyone
who
might be in the area.
Thanks in advance.

HEEER'S MINNIE - please crosspost.
You can see the sweetness in her eyes.
Name - Minnie
Sex - Female
Breed - Retriever Mix
Spayed - Yes
Up to date on shots - Yes
Age - 5
Good with other dogs - Yes
Cats - Yes
Kids - yes (does not mind to be petted while chewing her bones!)
Grownups - initially barks at some strangers, especially men, but warms
up quickly. She is very responsive, and I've had two dog trainers
tell me this behavior can definitely be dealt with!
Fence Jumper - don't think so Escape artist - don't think so
good in cars - Loves car rides, with head out the window! :)
separation anxiety - don't think so digger - not sure
housebroken - Since she's been kept in a garage and never taken
out, I'm not sure. I would keep her confined to a
smaller area inside the home in the beginning, until
she gets the routine down on where to pee and poop outside.
good traits - extremely loving and happy at heart: leans on you
with her whole body, and puts her head in your neck.
Loves to be held and gives the loooonges hugs. She
prefers to sleep next to someone. bad habits - initial barking at
some strangers (guard dog instinct
from the garage, perhaps)

Hello
I posted at justlabradors.com about a darling choc male lab
mix pup (looks more lab than anything), that was thrown in a dumpster
to die. His 2 siblings didn't make it :( but Hershey did) He is in GA.

Thought I would post this here in case anyone knows someone who might
want to adopt this little fellow.

Hershey
Labrador Retriever Mix
Size: Medium
Age: Baby
Sex: Male
I.D:
Notes: Hershey was thrown into a plastic trash bag and placed in a
dumpster with two other siblings. Unfortunately the two siblings died a
horrible death before someone found them. A good samaritan heard crying
coming from the dumpster. She opened the bag and found the three pups.
Hershey and his siblings were only 5 weeks old when they were thrown
away as worthless trash. Hershey is now in foster care and is under
medical supervision. He is thriving now and is a wonderful, loving, and
playful puppy. He will be available as soon as he has his two puppy
shots and the doctors dismiss him for adoption. IF YOU CANNOT ADOPT
HERSHEY, PERHAPS YOU CAN MAKE A DONATION FOR HIS CARE. CHECKS OR MONEY

a foster home badly, she was left by her owner in Texarkana, AR and was
taken in by a very kind neighbor, who doesn't have the room to keep her.
