Subject: rescue closure
Hi! My name is Jeanne Daley and I operate In The Nick of Time
Animal Rescue in central Louisiana... I am trying to contact every lab rescue I
can find because I have been forced to close the rescue. We are just a small,
homespun rescue with a couple of wonderful foster homes, but thanks to a nasty
neighbor who has a great deal of pull with our local sheriff's dept. we have to
move all of our dogs. I have found places for the majority of them, but we still
have 4 labs and lab mixes that are in dire need of forever home/foster homes.
There simply aren't enough homes for labs (I'm sure you, of all people know
that...), especially in our area, where there are so many of them... Backyard
breeders run rampant here, using labs for hunting and extra income with no
regard to breed standards. The red necks in this area of the country, for the
most part, would rather drown a litter of puppies in the river than to
spay/neuter their dogs. I was wondering if there is anything you guys might be
able to do to help these babies. Believe me, I understand how full everyone
is.... All of our dogs are utd on everything, hw neg., spayed/neutered and for
the most part housetrained. Our website is :

All of the pics and bios are current. Right now we have the 4 labs, 3 hound
boxer mixes, and 1 beagle/cur mix living in a very short term situation in a
kennel setting. Anyway, thank you for reading this, and please get back to me
regardless if there's anything you guys can do or not... We are willing to drive
them anywhere at this point to keep them safe and out of euthanasia's way...
Thank you again...
