This is a further update on the crisis at the SPCA located in Georgetown, DE.  As I explained before, due to construction and the changeover to a new adoption system, the holding area at the SPCA is overflowing with nice dogs.  These poor dogs never even made it to the adoption wing and were, therefore, never on the website. Several rescues have stepped up and taken dogs.  Four dogs and two litters went north this morning.  We got a reprieve for the remaining dogs until Monday.  A rescue in MD has agreed to take two Monday morning.  We are very grateful to those rescues for somehow finding room for these poor dogs!!  A total of 6 dogs and 2 litters of pups have been saved!

BUT there are two more dogs who need to be moved Monday or they will be put to sleep.  They are:
I am begging at this point.  These are very nice dogs.  Please contact Diane at 302 684-1049 or me at rain.tyler@mchsi.com  right away if you can help.

Thank you!

PLEASE CROSS POST - urgent - MONDAY AUGUST 2, 2005  IS LAST DAY TO SAVE THIS LIFE!! He was never given a CHANCE!

Now there is only one beautiful dog left to find rescue for.  Monday is the deadline.  The puppy mentioned below was saved today.

Please, just one dog will die alone on Monday.  This is a beautiful boy.  Because of the construction at the shelter he never even had a chance to be seen in the adoption area and now they're going to kill him because 'his time is up'.  Time he spent kennels where he couldn't be seen.

Please, for his life's sake, please rescue him.

His life depends on one rescue finding a place for just one more dog.  Surely, someone can take him.
