Sheamus came into a 'rescue's' custody after having been severely neglected all 5 of his short years. As a result of living outdoors he was filthy, matted, and flea infested but more serious were his severe ear infections which had gone untreated for the last 4 years and as you can see from the pictures, he is in a terrible state.

Sheamus is in excruciating pain and is currently taking high doses of pain medication and antibiotics to ease his suffering. Unfortunately, the only remedy for his dreadful situation is emergency ear surgery. NOT NECESSARILY SO... Please Click HERE for further details.

The Veterinarian who examined him felt that if the surgery could not be performed almost immediately, that it would be kinder to euthanize him. NOT NECESSARY... Please Click HERE for further details. This rescue has had many emergencies this year which have left us without the necessary funds to provide this much needed surgery and your help is desperately needed. The cost of his treatment is estimated between $1,800-$2,000 for the surgery and hospitalization.

Sheamus has the most loving personality and in spite of his terrible pain he is quick to wag his tail at the least amount of attention. He is truly a survivor and deserves this chance at a happy and painfree life. Won't you help Sheamus? Any amount would be truly appreciated!

Although alternatives are available for this pup's problem that would NOT necessitate waiting to raise $2000 for a questionable surgery, we found it interesting that no one even called back when we proposed a means of making the pup comfortable while they concerned themselves with the raising of funds.

We never recommend sending funds to rescue groups without being in touch with the vet handling the case.

Are rescued animals being rescued? Or used to raise funds? The organization in question here didn't post even an e-mail address and no telephone numbers. Just an address to which those concerned could send money.
