Spot's story
is a heartbreaker. This gorgeous six year old male Dalmatian was with one
family all his life. I guess they just didn't understand the concept of for
better or for worse, though. Spot's life took a definite turn for the worse:
he was diagnosed with renal cancer. And what did his loving family do? They
trotted him off to the Marion County Humane Society in Fairmont, WV - a high
kill shelter that destroys dogs by gassing them when their time is up. What
chance did they think an older dog with medical needs would have?
The vet said that Spot's condition right now is stable. He should have several
happy years left - if he can get out of that shelter alive. We know it's going
to take a real special family to take Spot into their hearts - but Spot is a
real special dog. Can't someone give him a second chance to live out his life
in comfort and love?
