Disturbing video taken by Welfare for Animals Greece, a NYC
advocacy
group, is available showing the gruesome methods being utilized to kill
dogs in the city and will be shown during the demonstration and press
conference.
"What is happening in Greece is simply not acceptable.
Poisoning
thousands of homeless dogs prior to the Olympic Games is abhorrent and
unnecessary. We urge compassionate athletes, and concerned individuals
everywhere, to boycott Greece as a travel destination and to actively
speak out until this disgraceful practice is abandoned," said Gary
Kaskel, president of New York City-based United Action for Animals.
